How to play Tiësto - Lethal Industry

This is a pretty old song of Tiësto, but I still like it. This was from the period when he was still making trance even tough I am not listening to trance on a regular basis, I still do like Tiësto's trance songs. The bass of this song was pretty easy to make, but the melody is probably recorded live.


The song is made in A-minor. The song plays at 135 BPM. I assume that Tiësto has made those sounds with hardware or through sampling.

It appears pretty early in the song and keeps going on until the end. As you can see the bass is really easy to make.

So, I assume that the melody is recorded live. The melody appears somewhere in the middle of the song. And by the way if you have Sylenth1 you will have the preset named "Lethal Industry" which sounds like the melody of this song. So you won't have to sound design the melody.

How to play Avicii - Levels

Ok, this is my first real post. Those first few posts will be mainly about how to recreat songs which already exists, but eventually I will also add tips on how to create your own house music songs.


The song is at 128 BPM (beats per minute) and the melody is played in E major. The arpeggio, bass and chords are however in the C# minor. These are the same notes, but the most played note is basically different. Avicii has combined synths together with orchestral instruments like the cello and the piano. I am not going that deep into details, but with the pictures below you should be able to get pretty far.
